What fascinates me the most, whether in chimpanzee (or whales) studies, is how mothers are deeply attached to their babies. It is as if nature itself refuses to fall for false ideology where women are told to pursue their careers over their children.
She was just an amazing human being. And I think just by listening to the tone of her voice: soft, kind, caring ... anyone could tell that she was truly special. Not that we are not all special, we all are but some take special to a whole other level. She was that kind of Spirit. Definitely can use more people like her.
